Audience and Talk About Our Magazine Editions

DRAGONFLY

When we did our previous magazine cover for a practice run we had focused on teen girls in high school dealing with new things and giving advice on such topics. Our magazine was called Dragonfly, and at the time we created it to portray change, transformation, and self-realization. The analogy of opening your wings to fly after being in the water for a long time as this resembles a student in college beginning their new life and opening up to new adventures that await them. The new college students are now going somewhere else and we thought for a while that Dragonfly might be a little too girly for the college students. Then we thought about it longer, and now we considered the facts and came up with other names that could also relate to what we are going for. Then we thought about Dragonfly a bit more, it still relates to college girls in general, and how it still goes along with our magazine concepts.

After a long thought process, we decided to go with seasons as editions, because that is similar to the college "seasons" as well. First, you go through the beginning stages and find out how it is in college. You'll be experiencing new teaching styles and the different amounts of homework that you're used to, that is what fall will focus on. Then we come to midterms or finals, depending on your classes, like mine, some students might be finishing, or starting a new term or course. We'll then move into my magazine which is Spring. Here I will be focusing on things about the Spring term.  I'll also be talking about school coming to an end and what to do next. I'll also add some Spring break ideas. Then there's Summer which is the break from college, or your actual end and we'll inspire you ideas of what to do and things you can do to stay active with schoolwork while you're on your Summer vacation.
