The Start of Our Magazine Journey
We had begun with a side project creating a group magazine and making it from scratch, and we didn't know what we were going to do with it afterward. Halloween was around the corner and we wanted to make an edition to portray a spooky cover, that's why we had the goo effect and spider webs. Our main cover model Billie brings that spooky feeling, so with all the goo and webs, it had a go anchorage and feel to it. The dark stare coming from Billie makes the audience wonder what is going on inside her head, so they want to open to the next page. In this magazine, we wanted to talk about things relating to young girls, puberty stages and going in to mature ladies. So our plan after we found out the new project was to keep moving forward with our ideas to the fourth edition. Here and there are conventions, it is used in all sorts of magazines, for example, the masthead which is big and bold for everyone one to see that this is out the magazine.
